Speech and Language Therapy Services

Grace is a qualified speech and language therapist and registered through the New Zealand Speech and Language Therapy Association (NZSTA). Grace has a Masters in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Auckland, in addition to an honours degree in Performance Voice and an undergraduate degree in Music and Psychology. Grace is also a qualified LSVT Loud practitioner, which is a specialised speech therapy program designed to improve vocal loudness, clarity and communication in individuals with Parkinson's disease and other neurological conditions. Grace is passionate about nurturing communication and building on the strengths of her clients. Grace is based in Matakana and also offers online support.

A little more about Grace

What do you like about being a speech and language therapist?

I love working with individuals and their families to support communication, empathy and understanding. I feel so lucky to be a speech-language therapist and to work with people of all ages, from all walks of life.

Why do you like working with older people?

I feel privileged to be part of each client’s health journey. Every person I work with has a unique set of strengths and skills that we can build on to improve communication and quality of life. I love working with older people, especially when we can get to know each other and I am able to hear their story. Through this relationship building, I am able to support them in individual ways that will benefit them the most.

Why do you like working with children and young people?

It is always special to connect with a child and the sessions are high energy, which is fun! My favourite aspect of working with children is to build relationships with the child’s caregivers and family. I learn so much from every family I work with.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to spend time with my family. I live on a lifestyle block with my husband and two beautiful children. The photo above is of my daughter signing "Where?" at age 1.

60 minute session: $140

45 minute session: $125

30 minute session: $95

Initial session and assessment: Price varies depending on the individual's needs and scope of the assessment.

Group therapy rates
